Jewel is still making music. I’m not sure why. This is her new album cover. Straight from the pages of Pier 1′s fall catalogue it seems. It’s evident nothing good comes from Alaska. Yes, that’s a joke about Sarah Palin too. Try and keep up.
If you want to hear the poorest attempt at someone trying to remain relevant then perhaps I Fucked A DJ is for you. Tila’s popularity continues to wane and she continues to grasp at her 15 minutes.
The single, although has a moderately catchy beat is nothing that could ever be played on the radio, the lyrics are so foul that the song would be one continuous bleep. The song is just a constant reminder that the only thing Tila is relevant for is flashing her tits all over the place.
If you want to hear the song you can find it yourself.
This is tragic. On so many levels: production level, lyrics, singing, dancing. Oh and the message. Just because we’ve all been there doesn’t mean we want a fucking theme song, Cheetah Has-been. It’s a walk of shame for a reason -- cause you don’t want people to know. *Please note that had other former Cheetah Girl Raven Symone sang this, it would have been on my I-pod like yesterday.
Garbage’s album 2.0 was probably one of the best albums of the 90s in my book. I played the shit out of that record. It’s probably the first album I realized that you could play from start to finish and actually enjoy -- like that set the standard. So many great singles and videos…let’s look at them! Starting with one of my favorite, eerie songs…
For what it’s worth, here’s your first look at the video. Hopefully we’ll have some better quality soon.
It’s pretty in all the right ways, and the paint splash parts are cool. But, Sophie singing with a half dozen female back up dancers and some fancy editing, we’ve seen (and heard) it before. (And before, and before.)
At least she’s not running around Venice, right? Oh wait…
Despite earlier reports that her album, Come To Life, was dead in the water, we’re happy to report that this is probably still true.
However, Natalie Imbruglia has filmed a video for her upcoming single, Scars, which hits UK radio next Monday. The song has been tweaked for a radio edit and apparently the album will be released in the UK on May 3. Not sure the song is strong enough to warrant a month lapse before the album is out, but then again, not sure she’s gonna even care to promote it further so what does any of it matter. This whole project has been piss-poorly managed by all involved.
If you remember the Nordic singer Annie, you are probably like me and sometimes go, “What the hell happened to her?” Well, you probably enjoyed her 2004 album Anniemal and then waited, waited, waited for the follow-up. Don’t Stop was Annie’s second album and her first with Island Records but due to disagreements with the label and her management, it was put on hold after a September 2008 release had been planned.
Don’t Stop’s original incarnation leaked to the web in the fall of 2008. In the meantime, Annie released Anthonio, a one-off jam that I loved. Then later in 2009 it was announced she’d be releasing Don’t Stop on her own label in November 2009. Overall, it’s not a bad album, but it’s just a mess of a release that critically wounded any success for Annie. One of the singles that came out before the real release, Song Reminds Me Of You, I really enjoyed. Sadly, there’s nothing else that has happened with this album, nor has there been much news on what Annie’s plans are for further musical endeavors. Ah well. I’d put up the video forĀ I Know UR Boyfriend Hates Me but some record label is a bitch and took it down off Youtube.com.
