Hot on the heels of her stint on American Idol as guest judge, Avril uses the exposure to launch her new single “Alice”. Although I don’t believe she mentioned it on the show this week, when you visit her official website you are presented with visuals of Avril as Alice from the forthcoming movie “Alice in Wonderland” and ads for the movie. Interviews recently stated that her new album was a more of an acoustic approach, I’m not really getting it from this song. According to her Wikipedia page, this was for the “Almost Alice” soundtrack and has no mention of being included on her fourth studio album.
The song is a little rock, a little ballad and begins with a warped intro that will surely lend itself well to the feel of Tim Burton’s remake of the classic story.
