Somebody please DO stop the music. Chew Fu is a hit or miss remixer and on this album, it’s mostly a miss. What could have been – a dark, moody album taken to the next level of creepy by some varied remixes spanning from tribal to electronic to ambient house to acid styles. Think Fischerspooner, think Junkie XL, think Manhattan Clique, think Hercules and Love Affair.
What is – a bland, static album that strips some tracks from their rawness and infuses it with a tragic beat and guitar line a la Jason Nevins. Chew Fu what were you thinking? Better yet, Rihanna or LA Reid – why bother? Girls, this sound is so 10 minutes ago. And if you’re going to do a remix album, why not just include tracks that haven’t already been remixed or chose tracks that are newly remixed an unavailable anywhere else. Don’t include crap tracks we’ve already heard and deleted from our Itunes library before.
The tracks worth a damn: Rude Boy is slowed down and totally transformed. Rockstar is alright, but nothing spectacular. I’m not even wasting our storage space on giving you a song to listen to. Use the internet cause if you want to hear these versions, you’ll need to put the work in to feel the true disappointment.

Ha! OMG you cunts are SO JADED. Bit jealous are we? Bet you could have done a better job? Sit at home on your computer and keep hatin’ bitches. I think the album rocks!

I only approved the above comment so I could respond to it. As I can see from your “name”, you’re obviously an over the top zealous fan who probably writes “RihRih” fan fiction in your spare moments (read as: you have no life, friends or job – and yes that’s me ‘hatin’ on you). This in turn means that your views on “RihRih” are heavily skewed towards “the bitch can do no wrong”.
Here at FreshYesh we tend to take the the neutral approach to almost all artists and their music which fall into the genres we dig. You wouldn’t find me writing an article about Rolling Stones because we don’t listen to that type of music and our opinion would not be a fair one. However, here at FreshYesh we do actually like Rihanna and in fact if you look over there in the sidebar, occasionally her album comes up as something we “suggest”. Typically we like to suggest albums that we like, call us crazy.
What I am getting at here is that just because we provide a constructive criticism of something that we didn’t particularly find to our liking doesn’t really give you reason to leave a comment unfairly putting our opinions of this version of the album on blast.
And lastly, “cunt”, really? Next time you want to be taken seriously, try using words that are larger than one syllable and you wouldn’t mind your mother hearing. If “RihRih” heard you talk like that, she’d beat you as if she were Chris Brown.

Jealous of these shitty remixes? Nah, girl. And I probably could do a better job of taking great songs and making them at least as good as their original form instead of trying to put each one through a ‘Good Girl Gone Bad’ filter to make each track sound like it came off her last album.
Bee tee dubs, we didn’t see you offering up a remixed album of your own either. And if you spent about 3 minutes referencing our other Rih-Rih posts, you wouldn’t look like a Re-re by assuming we hate her. We don’t.
I for one think that after she got beat up, she certainly started to make more interesting choices as an artist.
