Releasing the “live” video for their new Danish single Heatwave. The video finds them playing live to masses of fans and the filter that they added over the entire video to makes it orange and summery. Just like if you were at summer festival in the middle of… well a heatwave!
If you haven’t checked out Alphabeat’s sophmore album The Beat Is…, you should cause you’re seriously missing out on some great pop.
Now can we please get the title track as a single, mmmmk.
Here is the new video for Alphabeat’s DJ, as with most of their videos it has a low budget look but still hits the spot keeping with the theme of most of their previous videos. At the time of posting we are unsure of which mix this is featured in the video, it doesn’t quite pack the punch from the album version. But look out very soon for mixes from Ian Masterson and Doman & Gooding along with several others.
If you follow Alphabeat, then this is no news to you, but they did make it “official” today. DJ is the third single from their sophmore album The Beat Is… The follow up to Hole in My Heart is a club ready anthem that is sure to get everyone moving and place well in the charts.
Although personally I would rather have seen the title track as the third single, I think DJ will perform well. Sadly the title track and DJ are so much in the same vein that I don’t foresee it getting a release. But anything is possible.

Take a minute to soak this up… One of my favorite bands “Alphabeat” are headlining for Lady Gaga across the pond and they decided to do a cover of “Telephone” and “Bad Romance”. There 90′s inspired sound is a welcome addition to these two songs. All this awesomeness compressed into one mashup. It’s what “We Are The World” wanted to be. If you haven’t checked out Alphabeat, now is the time!

When awesomeness like this happens, it just makes you happy be alive.
Fresh from Alphabeat themselves, they will be changing the name of their album from “The Spell” to “The Beat Is…” after being pushed back from October ’09 to March ’10 in the UK. The album is a pop classic with a 90′s throwback sound.
Personally I like both names, but of the two tracks the album title is based on “The Beat Is…” is my far my favorite, and I’m hoping this means that it will get a proper release from the album.
