Probably my most anticipated album of the year has arrived and Aphrodite has been the total breathe of fresh air that I was hoping for. This time Kylie shot for a more cohesive album and got it right. Even leading with All The Lovers, it now makes sense in the context of the album, where it kicks everything else off. A sweeping, sentimental club song – who would’ve thought those still existed, especially with a complete breakdown in the middle 8 section that then leads to a sonic explosion. A fitting opener.
