Destroying Your Face Does Not Make You A Popstar, FYI

Posted by Shan on February 3rd, 2010 | No Comments

What Heidi Montag had to say about her mom seeing her ridiculous amount of plastic surgeries for the first time:

I think she was most upset that Spencer was there for me and she wasn’t. She was saying how sad it is that my confidence is gone because of the music industry I’m trying to get into. I wanted to be the most beautiful, inside and out. It’s part of being a pop star.

Pop star? That’s still happening? Did she sell another 658 copies? Good for her!

The Career & Face That Time Forgot

Welcome to Fresh, Yesh! There will be more here soon, don’t worry. I love to bitch about Heidi Montag so I’ll be able to fill pages and pages of this website. I’d like to thank Heidi for her “career” because without it, this site would never have been inspired.

I mean, her quality of work is amazing, just look at this video for her first single (after cut). If I spent $2mil on creating such a masterpiece as Superficial, I know I’d spend 68¢ creating the video. Of course two million is just a drop in the bucket when you’re spending your off time getting nearly a dozen surgeries all at once like it ain’t no thing.

The best part of the whole saga is this classic quote that came from her “promotional” tour:

I definitely do [think Superficial holds up to Thriller]. I think people might not see it now, because it’s my first album coming out. But I’ve spent as much time–maybe more, even–than Thriller… For me, I have a different appreciation, a different understanding, and a different love of my music and for my album than any other artist possibly could because this is my money. [Not making my money back], that’s not even a possibility. I think within the first week we will definitely make our money back. The songs will make an impact in pop history. Source

To recap, she believed that she would make her money back the first week of sales, when in actuality she sold 648 copies of her album. If only Heidi had thought to sell her album for about $3000 a copy, she could have broken even. Another way to look at, if she keeps selling at the rate of her first weeks sales she’ll have sold as many copies as Thriller in just a short 1900 years.

Get a real job.
