Reports are coming in that Melanie B a.k.a. Scary Spice is in talks to co-host Dancing With the Stars. It’s amazing that these ladies still get work in America all these years later. Personally I’m all for it, however I wonder if her accent might be a little much for TV viewers. Although an accent seems to be required to host a TV show here, Mel’s accent is very, very strong, especially for the ‘common’ viewer.
Of course, if she’s co-hosting a television show I’m sure she’s not going to have much time to work on that third album, that we’re still waiting on. *cough cough*
I sadly didn’t get to witness any of the Brit Awards yesterday, I could have watched online but I’ve been down with a head cold for several days and slept through the entire thing. I did however wake up to find out that the Spice Girls had won the “Best Performance” from the last 30 years at the Brits. Pretty exciting stuff since I was a huge fan back in the day. Even better is that Geri (my favorite!) and Mel B were there to accept.
The best part of the whole bit was when Geri grabbed for the mic from Mel B before she had even had a chance to say anything… that’s so Geri. And what about Mel B’s hair and outfit? You ain’t Lady Gaga, so you can stop.
Here is the clip, I believe it’s a mashed up four minutes of the presentation so you just get the good bits. And how fantastically tacky is the large “Mastercard” ad on the podium?
